You can't edit a blank page, and the book(s) I want to write arent going to magically appear without putting in any effort.
So, this is my journey, starting from scratch, to write a book, and hopefully eventually get it published.
A few things to note:
Everything is going to be raw. If I catch a typo while I'm writing, I might fix it, but I'm not going to go back and edit everything before posting. I know myself and I know that if I put that kind of pressure to this, nothing will ever get posted.
I'm not writing in order. I'm just writing. Reading what I write every day might not make sense - in fact I can almost gurantee it wont. Guess that will make reading the finished (published) product all the more exciting.
I've got several books that I want to write and who knows what will come out. The point is to write. As mentioned in the point above - who knows what is going to come out each time I sit down.
Content will go live each day - some days I might write more, some days I might write less, but whatever I write while I sit and write for at least 30mins, that will get posted.
For transparency and accountability, I'll also be posting on TikTok, likely time-lapse videos of me writing, for accountability. Will also hopefully give some insight into the chaos and emotional journey of writing.
For now, I'm going to keep comments open, but please note - haters will not be tolerated. This is my journey, my process, and my book(s). Don't like it, cool, find something else to do with your time.
I'm doing this to help keep myself accountable so that way this isn't something that I think about and never do (been there done that) or start but never finish (thanks ADHD).
Today's post is exactly this - getting the website started (if you are reading this in real time, you'll be able to see a lot of changes as I figure things out), and getting a TikTok account set up.
If you've made it this far, the disclaimer is likely unnecessary - but I have no idea what I'm doing, and am figuring things out as I go along.
